About the School
We live and breathe dance. We always have done. Since 1986, Melksham School of Dance has been providing a professional yet caring teaching environment for pupils of all ages.
Having taught in towns and villages throughout the area for a number of years, Anne Barrett founded the dance school in 1986. In 1994, Jayne Green (daughter of Anne) joined the school as an experienced and qualified teacher. In 2018 Anne sadly passed away leaving Jayne as the new principal of The Melksham School of Dance. In 2020, with over 10 years’ experience as a professional dancer, Katherine Green (daughter of Jayne) joined the teaching faculty as a qualified teacher from the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). In 2023, with over 10 years’ experience as a professional dancer, Ryan Pellet joined the teaching faculty as a registered teacher from the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA). The Melksham School of Dance continue to operate as a family run dance school. We offer a personal touch for our pupils and their families.
